As previously reported, the UT-AAUP Executive Board has been and is in negotiations with the
Postel Administration for a one-year extension of the T/TT CBA and Lecturer CBA with a pay
increase. This extension will be submitted to the membership for approval. We hope to have
detailed information soon.
Negotiations on three- or four-year term agreements will continue in October. Until a new
contract is negotiated and approved or the one-year extension contract is negotiated and
approved, we are operating under the current CBAs. By law, the current CBAs remain
enforceable (but with no pay increases) until such time a new contract is approved.
The Postel Administration has announced pay increases for the PSA. The PSA took pay cuts
including furloughs during COVID. The amounts have not been announced, but we are guessing
an overage of 2% based on pay increases to other UT employees.
